• Offline Capability — Access core translations even without an internet connection.

Supported Indian Languages:

Pocket Translator is built with a privacy-first approach. We collect no personal information from our users. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
• We do not store your translation history or search queries on any server.
• We do not access your contacts, messages, camera, or microphone (unless pronunciation is actively used by you).
• We do not track your location.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics platforms that profile you.
• We do not sell your data to any third party — ever.

Any text you enter for translation is processed to generate results and is not stored, logged, or transmitted to our servers for retention.

To deliver the full Pocket Translator experience, the app may request certain device permissions. Here is exactly what each permission is used for:

• Internet Access: Required to fetch translations and language data from our translation service when you are online. No personal data is sent along with these requests.
• Audio / Speaker Access: Used only when you tap the pronunciation button to hear a word spoken aloud. We do not record your voice.
• Storage Access (optional): Used only if you save words to a personal favourites list, which is stored locally on your device.

All permissions are used strictly for app functionality only. You can revoke any permission at any time from your device settings.

When you enter a word or sentence into Pocket Translator, the app sends that text to a translation service to generate results. This is standard functionality for any translation app. Here is what you should know:

• Translation requests are processed in real-time and are not linked to your identity.
• No account or login is required — your queries are completely anonymous.
• Query text is used only to return a translation result and is not stored in any database associated with you.
• Saved words and favourites are stored only on your device and never uploaded to any server.

Pocket Translator may use standard translation APIs to deliver accurate translations. These services receive only the text you enter for translation — no personal data, device identifiers, or user information is shared.

We do not currently use:

• Advertising networks or ad SDKs
• Behavioural analytics or user profiling tools
• Social media tracking pixels
• Crash reporting tools that collect personal data

If this changes in future updates, we will revise this Privacy Policy and notify users before any such service is added.

Pocket Translator is designed to be a safe and educational tool suitable for users of all ages, including students and children. Because we collect no personal data whatsoever, the app is inherently safe for younger users.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has somehow provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will address it immediately.

Since Pocket Translator does not collect personal data, there is no user profile associated with you. You are always in full control of your experience:

• You can clear locally saved data (like favourites) by clearing the app's storage from your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

We take reasonable precautions to protect the integrity of our app and any in-transit data (such as translation queries). All translation requests are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Since we do not store personal user data on any server, there is no central database of user information that could be breached or exposed.

We encourage you to keep your device's operating system and Pocket Translator updated to the latest version to benefit from ongoing security improvements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Pocket Translator grows and evolves. When significant changes are made, we will update this page and may notify users through an in-app message.
